Sacred and historical texts have proven that the Mahabharata is one of the greatest monumental epics that combines Philosophy, Mythology and Indian history. It is in this epic that the Bhagavad-Gita, which is considered to be an embodiment of Lord Krishna himself, makes an appearance in the Bheeshma Parva. It is highly regarded for its profound insight into philosophy and practical guidance on leading a purposeful, meaningful life. It continues to be the source of inspiration for millions around the world.
Today, across the world, the Bhagavad-Gita is being studied and recited by various sections of people transcending boundaries. Hence, as Bharateeyas, it becomes prudent for us to learn and memorise it.
Upakulapati Pt. Vishwapriyacharya Joshi has taken up the task of spreading this knowledge through the Vidyalaya. As of October 2024, he has started the “Shri Bhagavad-Gita” discourse and recitation at the Vidyalaya on offline and online forums for the younger generation.
